Roadblock Title:
Achieving payments resiliency with idempotency
Time:
Tuesday - 2:00 PM (Windows)
Abstract:
This session will cover how to ensure the reliability of payment systems by implementing idempotency. Financial transactions at scale often face failure scenarios such as network issues, database inconsistencies, and API timeouts. At First Dollar, we’ve built a resilient, distributed ledger system backed by direct bank integrations, utilizing an idempotency framework to guarantee exactly-once execution for critical operations.
We’ll explore how idempotency is applied across different layers of fintech infrastructure, including domain-specific idempotency, idempotency logs, and recovery strategies like event replays and API retries. Attendees will leave with practical solutions to enhance the reliability of their payment systems, reduce duplicate transactions, and mitigate operational issues.
