Roadblock Title:

The Andy Factor: How to design for accessibility

Time:

Tuesday - 2:00 PM (Tower C)

Abstract:

With the rise of digital interactions in fintech, ensuring all users can access and navigate your app is crucial. From downloading to getting help to completing workflows, key design principles must support diverse users. Today’s app users range from 15 to 95 years old, with varying abilities and neurodivergences, making accessibility a challenge. This talk introduces four user personas—Andy, Bisma, Claire, and Devon—to help developers design inclusively. You will learn about tools to help you ensure usability and compatibility to common standards, and how we use the personas in our user stories. The session will end with real results after our app went through a complete re-design for accessibility.
